If you love chickens and especially chicks, then be sure to head over to this website: Three Chicks A Day
The site owner decided to photograph 3 chicks, an Ameraucana (blue/green eggs), a Buff Orpington (good winter layer) and a Rhode Island Red (a true RIR) every day for 56 days to show them growing up into mature pullets.
Some of the photos are absolutely gorgeous and some are hilarious but the early ones are definitely the cutest!
If you fancy doing something similar to this, we of course supply incubators which will allow you to hatch your own chicks – a real treat if you have young children.

If you’re looking to see one of the widest ranges of poultry available in the UK, then make sure to head over to Powys in Wales this May.
A new Spring poultry show is being held at The Royal Welsh showground at Builth Wells on 15th & 16th May 2010 as part of the Smallholder & Garden Festival 2010.
It’s going to be a great day out for all the family with falconry displays, a farmers market, a floral hall – and even a robot called Titan!
The poultry show will have 300 classes and special awards and has been organised by The Poultry Club Of Wales.
Huw Thomas, president of the Poultry Club of Wales, said:
The club is anxious to portray the hobby of poultry breeding and showing as an interesting and fascinating pastime for young and old alike and this will be a wonderful opportunity for poultry enthusiasts and town and country dwellers to see a wide variety of breeds of poultry and waterfowl, all exhibited in the pink of condition.
There will be dozens of pure breeds on show originating from countries arond the world including, India, China, Holland, Italy, France, Australia and Chile.

To go alongside the ex- display chicken houses we have some 20 week old Warren chickens that we need to sell to make room for lambing our flock of pedigree Texel sheep. At a very special price of £6.00 each, these birds are excellent layers she can lay in excess of 300 eggs in her first year, a nice placid bird once she gets to know you, ideal for free range or any type of domestic system. So grab yourself a bargain and look forward to a steady supply of big brown top quality fresh eggs from your own chickens. What away to start the day .Delicious.

At this price they wont be about for long so please ring before traveling a long distance.
